SANTA ANA
Heritage and Fitz intermediate schools will receive $5,000 each as winners in the first annual Governor’s Reading Award Program. The schools, which are part of the Garden Grove Unified School District, were among 400 California public schools that read the most pages over a six-month period. A committee at each school will determine how the grant awards will be spent.
