Tax Repealed
* Re “House Moves to Repeal 19th Century Phone Tax,” May 26:
A 103-year-old tax, originally established as a tax on 1,500 phones to finance the Spanish-American War, is repealed. I would like to know how many more taxes are out there like this one? Have faith and trust in your government. In 50 or 100 years they may find one and give us another bone.
