The City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to cooperate with Caltrans to resurface Imperial Highway from Randolph Avenue east to the city limits. Work is scheduled to begin in October and is expected to take 240 days to complete.
The council and state made a deal to restrict construction to between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. The city will have to pay $70,000 in related costs. In addition to the resurfacing, the project includes replacing sewer drains east of Valencia Avenue.
