Police are searching for a man suspected of forging checks at Bank of America branches here and in San Clemente. Police said the suspect attempted to cash a forged check June 7 under the fictitious name Jyoti Prakash. He was described as 40, 5-foot-9 with salt-and-pepper hair. He was driving a black 1995 Chevrolet Silverado pickup. Anyone with any information should call Det. Manuel Ramos at (714) 990-7189.
