The Brea Art Gallery is featuring a series of workshops in conjunction with its folk art exhibit. On Saturday, the gallery is holding a class for children 6 and older on how to make Chinese lanterns and kites. On June 24, kids can learn how to make Oaxacan (Oh-hock-an) wooden animal figurines.

The Brea Art Gallery workshops are $5 each and run from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at 1 Civic Center Circle. The fee includes cost of materials. Information: (714) 990-7730.
