Man Arrested in Home Robbery
A 19-year-old man was arrested and police were searching for a second person in a home-invasion robbery early Monday, police said.
Danuyel Bryant and a second robber allegedly ransacked a Granada Hills home in the 10100 block of Gerald Avenue just after midnight Monday and then fled in a car belonging to one of the victims, police said.
Two people approached a 39-year-old man as he was about to enter his house and demanded his wallet and other personal items, said Los Angeles Police Officer Marlo Lopez del Haro.
“The suspects somehow gained entrance to the residence and escaped later in the girlfriend’s car,” Lopez del Haro said.
About an hour later, Foothill Division officers stopped Bryant, who was allegedly driving the vehicle that had been reported stolen, said Lopez del Haro, adding that Bryant was carrying a gun.
The case remained under investigation Monday.
