SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
South County cities and organizations met with 5th District Supervisor Tom Wilson to discuss linking local and regional trails at a Trails Summit on Thursday.
Groups represented included the International Mountain Bicycle Assn., Aliso Viejo Community Assn., Cleveland National Forest, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Orange County Transportation Authority, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Tustin and the California Trails & Greenways Foundation.
The groups discussed newly completed trails, trails in progress, gaps still missing in the trail system and ways to form a longer, more connected system.
