Face west to see Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and the crescent moon gathered together in the early night sky, where they span 24 degrees. Bright Jupiter is 6 degrees to the lower right of the thin crescent moon. Fainter Saturn is the same distance above the moon. Mars, which is fainter yet, is 14 degrees below Jupiter. Watch these three planets converge during the next month.
