A small amount of paint thinner that leaked from an illegally dumped 55-gallon drum was removed Tuesday from a lot on Summit Drive and 8th Street, according to the Fire Department.
The drum was discovered Monday in the lot behind South Coast Medical Center after an unidentified motorist dumped it, said Fire Chief Mark Baker.
Orange County health officials concluded that the spill caused no environmental damage.
