BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — A former Indiana player alleges that Coach Bob Knight choked him during a practice, according to a CNN/Sports Illustrated story.
Guard Neil Reed, who transferred from Indiana to Southern Mississippi in 1997, said at the time that he had been abused physically and mentally by Knight. In the story, Reed says he was choked by Knight for about five seconds during a practice before other coaches separated them. Knight refused comment, but others denied the incident took place.
