STANTON
The city has begun advertising for an architectural firm to begin designing a skateboard park. The city is considering converting two tennis courts at the municipal courts on Western Avenue into a skateboard park. However, the city leases that property from Savanna School District, which has yet to give permission for the proposed project. City Manager Terry Matz said the city is committed to building a skateboard park and will look for another site if it cannot build on the tennis courts.
