Grandfather Sentenced for Child Molestation
POMONA — A Walnut grandfather was sentenced Thursday to 17 years to life in prison for molesting three of his grandsons.
Harry Palmer, 63, was convicted by a Pomona Superior Court jury earlier this month after four of his grandsons testified against him.
Palmer was convicted of two felony counts of continuous sexual abuse involving two grandsons and two misdemeanor counts of child molesting or annoying in connection with a third grandson. A fourth grandson testified that he was molested by Palmer, but no charges were filed in that case, Deputy Dist. Atty Christina Weiss said.
Two of the grandsons are now teenagers and the other two are adults. The victims were abused between the ages of 7 and 10, Weiss said.
Palmer denied the charges.
