Volunteers in the Dock Walker Program will begin patrolling the harbor on Memorial Day weekend, said Deputy Russ Chilton of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. The program, approved by the City Council last month, increases water quality awareness and provides information to boaters. Volunteers will distribute information regarding the Clean and Green Boating Program and Orange County’s Bilge Pad Recycling Program. They will also report fuel and waste spills in the harbor.
