LAGUNA WOODS
The City Council will conduct a special budget meeting at 2 p.m. June 14 in the Board Room of Leisure World’s Administration Building, 23522 Paseo de Valencia. The city’s general funds total about $1.4 million. At the last meeting, council members unanimously approved spending $250,000 to help fund a low-income housing project proposed at Moulton Parkway and Santa Maria. The South County Senior Services Inc., a nonprofit organization, plans to build 115 apartment units for low-income seniors.
