Diodes’ Net Income Up 176% in 3rd Quarter
Semiconductor manufacturer Diodes Inc. in Westlake Village said its third-quarter revenue increased 49% to $32.3 million, compared with $21.8 million for the comparable quarter in 1999.
Net income rose 176% to $4.7 million, compared with $1.7 million for the three months that ended Sept. 30, 1999. The diluted earnings per share was 50 cents, compared with 21 cents for the same period last year.
Diodes makes its semiconductors for the communications, computer, electronics and automotive markets. It operates two Asian subsidiaries, Diodes-China in Shanghai and Diodes-Taiwan in Taipei.
