‘Motor Voter’

Re Michael F. Colangelo’s Nov. 8 letter complaining that his DMV “motor voter” registration never went through: The same thing almost happened to me. I renewed my driver’s license at the Glendale DMV in July and informed them I was moving from Burbank to the Big Bear area. The clerk offered me this easy way to switch my voting address.
After some time, I thought to check the San Bernardino registrar, and I was not registered. I’m glad I thought of this in time and therefore was able to cast my vote in this important election. The DMV should not even offer this service if it isn’t going to be followed through.
