Buena 41, Channel Islands 3--Freddy Keiaho rushed for 207 yards in 17 carries and scored three touchdowns for host Buena at Rio Mesa High.
Keiaho, who scored on runs of 37, 22 and 32 yards, moved to second place in the school record book behind his brother, George, with 1,967 yards and 27 touchdowns this season.
The Bulldogs (9-2) also had an effective passing game, as quarterback Andrew Paulsen completed 10 of 14 passes for 188 yards, including a touchdown.
Following Keiaho’s third touchdown early in the third quarter, Coach Rick Scott of Buena replaced most of the starters.
Channel Islands (3-8) averted a shutout when Alfonso Rodriguez made a 32-yard field goal with a minute to play.
Buena held the Raiders to 109 yards and five first downs.
