Residents may get an extra hour of uninterrupted sleep on the weekend under a recent change to the city’s noise ordinance. The amended law bans noise related to construction, repairs or remodeling before 8 a.m. on Saturdays. Previously, work was allowed to begin at 7 a.m.
The ordinance continues to ban construction noise after 8 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays, and prohibits it on Sundays and holidays.
