Police are investigating vandalism this week at the Goebel Senior Adult Center.

Four patio lights at the center, 1385 E. Janss Road, were broken between 9 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday, according to a report filed at the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department’s east county station.

There was an estimated $450 in damage.

This is the third or fourth time lights have been broken at the center in the past two years, said Mark Schrock, the center’s programming director.

Center workers check the building’s exterior every morning and evening, he said.

Schrock said he discovered the broken lights when he arrived for work Tuesday.

Schrock said the center has asked the Sheriff’s Department for additional patrols.

The city of Thousand Oaks is responsible for the building’s upkeep and replaces the lights.
