Irvine Firm to Invest in Florida Company

Advanced Communications Technologies Inc., an Irvine wireless communications company, said Wednesday that it has tentatively agreed to acquire 51% of a Florida company in a stock swap valued at $10 million to $20 million.

Advanced Communications said in a press release that the deal with Digital Comm Link Inc. also would allow it to purchase an additional 29% of the Davie, Fla., company.

The transaction is subject to a complete review of Digital’s financial condition and a definitive purchase agreement.

Under the terms, Advanced Communications said it also would commit as much as $6.5 million in working capital to expand Digital’s capabilities and satellite communications facilities.
