Universal Electronics Inc.

The Cypress supplier of wireless universal-control devices, chips and software technologies said that net income for the third quarter increased 57% to a record $3.6 million, or 24 cents a share, compared to $2.3 million, or 16 cents a share, for last year’s third quarter. Sales grew 25% to $35 million.
