MICHAEL BENNETT
Running Back, Wisconsin
Legitimately could have been in Sydney this weekend competing in 100 meters. Had to sit out game last week because of shoe-gate, but had a remarkable 48-carry, 298-yard effort in a stunning 47-44 loss to Northwestern.
Season: 106 carries, 711 yards, 5 td
Next: at Michigan, Saturday

LADAINIAN TOMLINSON
Running Back, Texas Christian
A very ordinary 140 yards in 23 carries doesn’t hurt Tomlinson, who sat out most of the second half in a 52-3 rout of Arkansas State. But it may derail his plans on rushing for 2,000 yards this season.
Season: 86 carries, 559, 7 TDs
Next: at Navy, Saturday

CHRIS WEINKE
Quarterback, Florida State
A 31-0 victory over Louisville makes things look good on the surface, but Weinke threw three interceptions against the Cardinals and passed for only 221 yards in what was a personally lackluster performance.
Season: 87 of 139, 1,244 yards, 10 TDs
Next: at Maryland, Thursday

DREW BREES
Quarterback, Purdue
Big Ten career passing records continued to fall in a 38-24 victory over Minnesota. “We throw the ball so much, those things are going to come,” said Brees, who completed 33 of 49 attempts for 409 yards.
Season: 103 of 159, 1,363, 9 TDs
Next: at Penn State, Saturday
Note--Virginia Tech’s Michael Vick didn’t play this week.
