Four Counterfeiting Suspects Held
Police arrested four people and seized $3,000 in fake bills in a raid on a La Habra home suspected of hiding a counterfeiting operation, authorities said Saturday.
Investigators believe the operation was partly responsible for a spike in the number of reports of fake money being passed in the La Habra area over the last few months, police said.
Officers with the La Habra Police Department’s special investigations unit conducted a parole search at the home in the 2200 block of Kenrich Court late Friday, said Sgt. Jeff Baylos.
Investigators found sheets of uncut bills in denominations ranging from $5 to $50, he said. Officers also seized a computer, a printer and other equipment they believed was used to make the money, as well as drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Police identified those arrested as James Arthur Randall, 44, of La Habra; Fonda Naomi Martin, 42, of La Habra; Stephen Louis Prinzo, 51, of Whittier; and Robin Lee Sudekum, 40, of La Habra.
