Toshiba America Names Nonaka President

Irvine-based Toshiba America Information Systems Inc., a major producer of personal computers, said Tuesday that it has appointed Hisatsugu Nonaka as president.
Nonaka, who has more than 30 years experience in international business planning, manufacturing and operations, will oversee Toshiba’s Computer Systems Group, Imaging Systems Division, Telecommunication Systems Division, and Network Products Division.
He succeeds Yoshihiro Maeda, who has been president since 1999. Maeda will return to Japan as executive vice president in Toshiba’s Digital Media Network Co.
