Too Many Books

* I find it quite funny that some of the candidates for school board are still using that tired old mantra “a book for every child.” I work at a middle school in Los Angeles. I can only speak for our school, but we have so many books, one of our school’s problems is where to store them when students are not using them.
The amount of money being spent on this school board race is setting a very dangerous precedent. Soon elected office will only be open to the independently rich or the very well connected.
