Kings Find the Stopper They’ve Always Wanted

For the past six, seven years, I have been under the impression that the Kings have needed more star players, such as Brett Hull, Pavel Bure, Al MacInnis and others. I felt they had good coaches, such as Larry Robinson and Andy Murray. I thought maybe the King players just lacked heart.
However, in the past 18 games, I have recognized what the Kings have been missing: a playoff quality goaltender! Felix Potvin has brought that.
The Kings’ management has finally done something right!

Felix Potvin has recorded so many first-period shutouts at home that Krispy Kreme has cut its promotion in half. A free dozen Krispy Kremes for every first-period shutout is now down to half a dozen. Thanks to Felix, we should be able to get into the playoffs and our bathing suits this year.
