Candia Takes Chief Operating Post at tAA

Jose M. Candia has been named president and chief operating officer of tAA Inc., a San Juan Capistrano supplier of call processing software that recently agreed to be acquired by Pen Interconnect Inc. in Santa Ana. tAA also is known as Amanda Co. Candia most recently was senior vice president of sales and operations for Centrecom.com in Costa Mesa. His previous executive positions included director of sales for business and government for L.A. Cellular/AT&T; Wireless, western regional vice president for Intercom/Metra, western regional manager for United Technologies Communications, and a manager in New Jersey for Warner-Lambert International.

Robert Johnson has been named senior vice president for sales and marketing at FatPipeU, an Irvine company that recruits and trains technicians and customer service representatives for broadband service providers. He had been vice president of sales, marketing and market development at Earthlink.

Tim Lavelle becomes executive director of RosettaNet’s new semiconductor manufacturing board. Before joining the Santa Ana company, Lavelle was vice president of business development and product marketing at FastParts.com. He also served as vice president of sales and marketing at NetBuy Corp. (now eChips Inc.). Before that, he held sales and marketing management positions with National Semiconductor, Chrontel and Yamaha.

Hal Kaplan becomes vice president of sales for Verado’s Western region in Irvine. Before joining Verado, Kaplan was Southwest vice president for GlobalCenter Inc.
