Frightening Fantasies
* “Illicit Mushrooms” (letter, April 23) packed a powerful punch. Practically, however, one cannot count on the substance abusers to stay safely ensconced in an old “opium den” cell. In the real world we depend on each other. No one wants to encounter the user of fantasy-inducing fungi after he drives onto a freeway fantasizing he’s a formidable foe in a destruction derby.
