In girls’ basketball:

Fullerton Troy 54, Ventura Buena 49--In a rematch of last season’s Southern Section Division I-A championship, Troy used its full-court press to again turn back the Bulldogs at the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions in the Gold Division final.

Down 29-27 at halftime, Troy (9-0) opened the third quarter with a 10-0 run. Buena (7-3) pulled to within 50-47 on Sheana Triana’s three-point shot with 2:10 remaining, but Troy’s Alicia Komaki answered with a three-pointer.

Komaki had 22 points, while Buena’s Courtney LaVere finished with 30 points and 15 rebounds.
