American, the world’s largest airline, said that some purchase requirements apply and tickets must be purchased by Jan. 15. The offer includes up to 10% in further discounts for tickets bought online at AA.com, the airline’s Web site.
Under the sale, travelers can fly round trip from Los Angeles to Honolulu for $365, to London for $403 and to Guadalajara for $342. Tickets for the same trips purchased on the Web site would cost $330, $365, and $309, respectively.
U.S. airlines, battered by the economic downturn, have been cutting fares as they try to lure travelers back after Sept. 11.
