In addition to outscoring Santa
Ana Valley by himself, Bigler’s 52 points placed him 11th in Orange County for points scored in a single game--the most since the 1990 season. On Friday, Bigler, a senior, scored 41 points in Foothill’s victory over Orange.

His pin at 215 pounds clinched the Freeway League title for Troy, which defeated Buena Park, 31-30.

Hayes, a U.S. national youth team member, scored two goals for Foothill, the top-ranked team in Southern Section Division I, as the

Bell Gardens, 5-4, to win the Irvine
Southern
California Championships Saturday at Heritage Park. The victory ended the Lancers’ 85-game winning streak. Hayes, who was named the most outstanding field player of the tournament, also had two assists.
* Stephanie Duda
Los Alamitos, Basketball
Duda had 21 points and 14 rebounds in an upset of Edison and 44 points and 17 rebounds in victory over Fountain Valley.
* Monique Cruz
Santa Ana Valley, Basketball
Cruz had 17 points and nine rebounds in a win over Foothill that positioned the Falcons to win their first league title.
