“There’s a well-known California winemaker, Merry Edwards, and I had the first wine under her name, the ’98 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley. I like it. I was never much of a Pinot Noir lover before, but I’m starting to drink that style of wine. It’s got a fairly rich style and great Pinot fruit. I tasted it with another winemaker in a restaurant and we both thought it was terrific.”
