Sea Kings on Road for Girls’ Soccer Semifinal
Corona del Mar is the only Orange County team that will have to travel outside the county for the semifinals of the Southern Section girls’ soccer playoffs Tuesday.
The Sea Kings (26-1-3), the top-seeded team in Division IV, will play at fourth-seeded North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake (17-3-4), a semifinalist last season.
In Division I, the matchup between second-seeded Capistrano Valley (17-2-5), the defending champion, and third-seeded Aliso Niguel (21-3-2) will take place at Aliso Niguel. Esperanza (17-4-5), an upset winner over top-seeded Arcadia, won a coin flip and will host fourth-seeded Rancho Cucamonga in the other semifinal.
Edison (22-1-5) will host top-seeded Mission Viejo (16-1-7) in a Division II semifinal, while El Dorado (17-8-3) hopes for another upset, hosting second-seeded Ventura Buena (26-1-2), the defending Division II champion.
In Division III, top-seeded Santa Margarita (18-2-2) hosts Temple City (19-5-2). Second-seeded Pasadena Poly (20-5-3), a finalist from last season, will play at third-seeded Orange Lutheran (20-4-4) in a Division V semifinal.
All games are scheduled for 3 p.m.
