King World’s Friendly Steps Down
Andy Friendly, president of programming and production at Viacom Inc.’s King World/CBS Enterprises, is stepping down at the end of the week to pursue other interests.
Friendly, who has been in the position for more than five years, said the parting is amicable, and that he will continue to be a consultant for the company, in addition to tackling projects with his own production company.
Friendly also will teach a course on television at USC beginning in January. A replacement for Friendly was not immediately named.
