Newport Beach Investment Firm Picks McCulley

* Paul A. McCulley has been named managing director of Pacific Investment Management Co. in Newport Beach. McCulley is head of the company’s short-term desk, and a member of the investment committee. He also leads Pimco’s Economic Forum. McCulley joined the company in 1999 after serving as a managing director and chief economist for the Americas with UBS Warburg.
* Kelly Poole has been named sales and marketing director for Granite Homes in Irvine. She has 20 years of sales and marketing experience, including managerial positions with Rielly Homes.
* Erika Price has joined Shafer Advertising & Public Relations in Irvine as management supervisor of the public relations department. Price had been account supervisor at the Leavitt/Bell Group in Pasadena.
* William A. Young has been appointed vice president of business development for IPNet Solutions Inc. in Newport Beach. He had been global alliance director at Vitria Technology and a business communications manager at Andersen Consulting.
