Red Cross Accepting Funds for El Salvador
Residents who wish to aid earthquake victims in El Salvador can donate to the American Red Cross International Response Fund, which distributes money and supplies to disaster victims across the world.
The earthquake hit the Central American country Saturday, 65 miles southeast of San Salvador, the country’s capital.
The Red Cross has so far contributed $100,000 for emergency relief efforts, sent four employees to the scene, and distributed blankets, water cans, hygiene kits and plastic sheeting. To help the Red Cross with its efforts, call (800) HELP-NOW or visit https://www.oc-redcross.org.
