Miscikowski Gets Leadership Role
Making his first leadership appointment as president of the Los Angeles City Council, Alex Padilla named Councilwoman Cindy Miscikowski the panel’s assistant president pro tempore on Friday.
In her new role, Miscikowski, who abandoned her own quest for the presidency to support Padilla, will preside over council meetings when Padilla and President Pro Tempore Mark Ridley-Thomas are unavailable.
Padilla said Miscikowski’s “work ethic and her faithful dedication to our city will continue to serve her well in her new leadership position on the council.”
