* Hearst Magazines said it’s replacing Kate Betts as the editor of Harper’s Bazaar, a major fashion magazine, with Glenda Bailey, the editor of Marie Claire, another Hearst title. The company did not give a reason for Betts’ sudden departure and did not name a replacement for Bailey at Marie Claire. Betts was named editor of Harper’s Bazaar in 1999.

* Office Depot Inc. said it purchased closely held Officesupplies.com Inc. and said it might acquire more online companies to strengthen its Internet business. Office Depot didn’t disclose the purchase price for Wilmington, Del.-based Officesupplies.com. The acquisition includes a Web site, Internet address and customer base, the company said.
