A car carrying five teenagers overturned in Chatsworth on Thursday morning, leaving two girls in critical condition, authorities said.
The teens were riding in a Ford Expedition when it rolled over several times on private property near 11100 Browns Canyon Road about 2:15 a.m., said Bob Collis, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman.
The driver and a passenger, both 15, were airlifted from the scene with critical head trauma, Collis said. The driver was taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Center and the passenger to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills.
The other three passengers, two girls and a boy, suffered less severe injuries and were at West Hills Medical Center, Collis said.
