Man Faces Charges in Airport Trespass Case

A Montana man apparently confused by northern California geography, was arrested at the Burbank airport after he jumped a fence, ran across a runway and tried to board a plane bound for San Jose, police said.
Timothy John Grabowski, 31, of Missoula, Mont., said he was running late as he tried to board the 5:55 p.m. Southwest Airlines plane to the Silicon Valley on Sunday, Burbank Police Sgt. Rick Madrid said. A flight attendant stopped him and airport police were called.
Grabowski had a reservation for a later Southwest flight to Oakland, Madrid said, but seemed to think he was booked for a trip to San Francisco. It turned out he was booked for trespassing.
“He gets an extra stay in beautiful downtown Burbank,” Madrid said.
