What Dorsey lacks in sheer numbers this season, he made up for a bit Saturday when he threw his 50th career touchdown pass to become Miami’s all-time leader, ahead of Vinny Testaverde and Steve Walsh. The way it’s looking, Miami can’t lose for Dorsey to stay in Heisman contention.

Season: 116 for 192, 1,782 yards, 15 TDs, 4 INT.

Running back, UCLA

Foster broke the 100-yard barrier--barely (102)--against Washington State, but it took him28 carries. On top of that, the Bruins lost by six and Foster’s third-quarter fumble led directly to a Cougar touchdown.

REX GROSSMAN

Quarterback, Florida

Grossman passed for more than 300 yards for the eighth consecutive time this season and that, as much as anything, will be a strong selling point. If he can perform similarly--and win--the next three weeks against South Carolina, Florida State and Tennessee, how can the Heisman not be his?

Season: 178 for 269, 2,942 yards, 27 TDs, 10 INT.
