Anthrax Threat Ignored

Re “Anthrax Fears in a 911 Call,” Nov. 8: How long will America continue its “separate but equal” mentality? Capitol Hill was closed and thousands of aides and lawmakers were tested for anthrax exposure and given drugs after an anthrax letter was sent to a senator. Yet our postal workers, who handle all this tainted mail, were ignored. Postal centers remained open and no medical protection was offered to the postal workers until they started dying.
When will we strip away the vestiges of racism and elitism and begin to live up to our American pledge of “one nation, under God . . . with liberty and justice for all”?
