CLU Receives Donation for Education Center

Cal Lutheran University has received a $250,000 donation from the Fletcher Jones Foundation toward the construction of a new education and technology center.
The 20,000-square-foot, $6-million center will house the School of Education as well as a television studio and computer laboratories.
The building, set to open next fall, will be called the Spies-Bornemann Education and Technology Center, after 1970 graduates Karen Bornemann Spies and husband Allan Spies, who donated about $3 million to the university.
The Fletcher Jones Foundation was established in 1969 to support private colleges and social programs throughout California.
