More than 1,000 motorcyclists will take to the road Sunday for a 55-mile charity ride to benefit Santa Ana’s Olive Crest Group Home for abused children.

Last year’s event raised $15,000 for the charity.

This year, organizers are hoping for more than $20,000, event spokeswoman Jill Swartz said.

Orange County riders will meet at Olive Crest, 2130 E. 4th St., at 7:30 for coffee and bagels before traveling to El Segundo, where they will join other participants.

From there, the group will head north on Pacific Coast Highway to CBS Studios Center in Studio City for lunch and a tour.

The cost to participate is $30 for riders, $15 for co-riders.
