Four Die When SUV Overturns on I-580
An infant and three adults died Saturday after the sport utility vehicle they were in overturned and tumbled off Interstate 580 near Tracy.
At least two other children sustained major injuries in the single-vehicle accident that occurred around 1 p.m., according to a California Highway Patrol spokesman.
Those two children were taken to Stanford Medical Center and were later admitted to Children’s Hospital in Oakland.
They were reported in stable condition. The cause of the accident was still under investigation late Saturday.
