Litter Pickup Sites Await Coastal Cleanup Day

Thousand Oaks will observe the fifth annual Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday with litter pickups at several city sites.
The day is meant to remind residents that litter often washes into the ocean.
There are seven cleanup sites in Thousand Oaks, but volunteers will meet at the Borchard Park picnic area between the tennis courts and Newbury Park High School off Reino Road.
The statewide event is sponsored by the California Coastal Commission and the Thousand Oaks Public Works Department in the Conejo Valley.
