Airlines Expected to Resume Mail Shipments

The U.S. Postal Service should be able to resume shipments by passenger airlines this week, perhaps as early as Monday, the Federal Aviation Administration said Sunday. The Postal Service also will be accepting mail and packages from other nations again after lifting its ban in the wake of Tuesday’s terrorist attacks.
Mail delivery probably will take an additional day or two, and delays of as long as three days should be expected on most foreign mail, the Postal Service said.
