Foothill 28, Laguna Hills 0--Foothill receiver Quincy Lever took a swing pass from quarterback Don Poole on the third play of the game and outran the Laguna Hills defense for a 79-yard score and Foothill (4-0) went on to a nonleague victory at Tustin High.

Laguna Hills (2-2) turned the ball over four times in the first half. After a Hawk fumble at the Foothill 46 in the second quarter, the Knights scored four plays later on a two-yard run by Mike Liti.

Shortly thereafter, Zach Winger intercepted a Laguna Hills pass at the Hawk 17, which led to a touchdown pass play from Poole to Lever on the next play. Thirty six seconds before halftime, Liti scored on an eight-yard run to make the score 28-0.

Poole completed 13 of 25 passes for 214 yards and was eight of 14 for 151 yards in the first half. Lever caught seven passes for 150 yards--five for 123 yards in the first half. Liti rushed 23 times for 130 yards.

Hawk running back Matt Chandler managed only 46 yards in 16 carries and Chris Johnson completed 10 of 22 passes for 94 yards with two interceptions.
