Tu For All a Horse for Many Courses
Nobody can say that Tu For All, an Arabian filly bred in Virginia, has to carry her track around with her.
The 4-year-old, owned by Alan Kirshner and Deborah Mihaloff and trained by Lynn Ashby, has won four races in three states: in Delaware, twice at Los Alamitos, and the Shooting Star Derby at Sam Houston Race Park in Texas.
Tu For All, winner of four of six in her career whose biggest local win came in the Daughters of the Desert Futurity Dec. 1, is back for tonight’s $30,000 California Oaks at 71/2.
Two races later, the Darley Stud Management-owned entry of Velte and Vising will be a short price in the $30,000 California Derby.
The picks: 1. Crocodile Hunter. 2. Throwin A Fit. 3. He Doll. 4. Kels Leap Of Faith. 5. Signed Corona. 6. Heads Or Tails Hal. 7. Tu For All. 8. Under My Wing. 9. Velte. 10. Gettinouta Dodge. 11. Kooba Dash.
Four! In the first, use Crocodile Hunter, Mr Vargas and Secret Dasher, the entry of Throwin A Fit and Azyoucansee, Diamond On Her Mind and Alota Traffic in the second, single He Doll in the third and use Kels Leap Of Faith and Justa For Fun in the fourth. Total cost: $24.
Shots in the dark: Loves That Gold goes from inside to outside for John Cooper and could improve in his second career start in the eighth. Heza Hot Hit may move forward in his second after a layoff for Donna McArthur in the 10th.
