Economists Panel Confident of Recovery

U.S. economists feel confident that a sustainable economic recovery is underway, a poll showed.
More than three-quarters of the members of a panel surveyed by the National Assn. for Business Economics said it was unlikely the United States would suffer a “double dip” recession--in which economic growth would resume, only to falter again later.
Seventy-six percent of the panelists rated the odds of a double-dip recession as less than 50%. Only 9% put the odds at greater than 50%.
